Sensible rules - I aspire to them myself! If I could just beat those demons down - I KNOW I'll regret the chocolate withing seconds of eating it....

They are very good rules and I try to do the same. I definitely never make them finish their plate, I was brought up having to finish everything on my plate and I was such a fussy eater as a result. My kids always get their pudding, generally just yoghurts, it's not a treat it's part of their meal. With a 4 yr old though it's very hard not to use sweet treats as a reward for good behaviour! The problem is in their eyes it's the best incentive!!

However - I have a daughter who simply won't eat, who has decided all by herself that every food in the world is "yukky" and that she doesn't like anything! It destroys me every single day!
